jang hajoon, nadia's uncle (npc): After being disowned by her family before leaving for film school, nadia sought out her estranged uncle, who was similarily disowned for his sexuality. they became close in a matter of weeks and was the reason nadia moved her life to tokyo, where he resides. hidamari room was originally his shop, under a different name. he allowed nadia to make it her own.
Jang nayoung, Nadia's younger sister (npc): nayoung was always favored over her older sister; perfect attendance at church, nice boyfriend, excellent grades. nadia never stood a chance when she was born, four years old when she witnessed her parents focus shift from her to the sweet little bundle in their arms. when nadia left, she swore she could see the relief on her younger sister's face.
isara yun, nadia's childhood friend and lover. vastly different from one another in childhood, isa was always more popular in school. once they became friends, they spent summer after summer folded into each other's arms. for years, they denied what bloomed between them, until they shed their shame and confessed their love. they now live together with their cat, therese.
you've rented this before: you've come to the shop several times to rent the same movie/album over and over. nadia notices and slips a note inside asking what makes this particular piece of media so special. you choose to answer her, either through another note or by striking up a conversation about it the next time you stop in.
trapped in a storm: you are caught in a storm on the way home from work, thinking that it wouldn't be as bad as it was. you take refuge in hiramari room and nadia offers tea, a blanket, and her company until the storm passes.
memories from the past: you're a member of nadia's childhood church and you've finally entered adulthood, gaining the ability to see the world for yourself. you find her shop after years of searching (and years of hearing other church-goers speak ill of her) and turn up on her doorstep; not to bring her back but to understand just why she left.
